Tracey had the challenging task of becoming engaged into our project half-way through. She worked extremely well with the General Contractor and the trades, taking great initiative to ensure that tasks were being done competently and in keeping with the overall quality that we expected. I believe that being married to a master carpenter has given her an extra level of insight and competence that is of huge benefit to the client. In the end, everything that Tracey had a hand in looked beautiful, exceeding our expectations. She designed our kitchen from scratch and it is the highlight of our renovated home, the place we spend most of our time.
While the final product is the number one priority, arriving at that point within the budget and without unnecessary stress is so critical. Somehow, Tracey managed to balance our wishes with her own opinions about the project, diplomatically, and professionally. For example, I had reservations about one aspect of her design plan but she carefully explained its merits and, when it was finished, I saw that she was absolutely right. Tracey also communicated well and in a timely way to ensure there were no surprises and minimal stress. For a large renovation on a family home, the value of this calibre of communication cannot be underestimated.
